CITRIX TECHNICAL SPECIALIST: T.A.S.K GRADE 15

Reporting to Manager: Wintel and Integrity Systems, the successful incumbent will be accountable for designing, delivering and maintaining a secure, fast, effective, reliable Citrix physical and virtual Server Architecture ensuring the delivery of core and client service business applications.


Key Performance Areas

Design and implement new Citrix server architecture.
Fulfill Technical Lead role within the Citrix projects.
Manage and set up projects as requires.
Optimize Citrix system performance on an ongoing basis.
Provide advanced report and trend analysis of Citrix environment using Citrix Resources Manager and Edge-sight and other advanced tools.
Provide technical support for all components of Citrix XenServer and XenApp including Citrix clients, Windows Terminal Server, Provisioning server and Web Interface/ Secure Gateway.
Create, test and deploy applications as per business requirements.
Maintain technical documentation for Citrix architecture and operational procedures.
Ensure compliance to ICT Standards.

Manage regular update Citrix Universal Printer Drivers.
Automate Capacity Management Process.
Set standards for server operating systems, applications and Hardware.
Provide user access to systems as per security policies.
Prepare and maintain any server related documentation.
Evaluate and recommend Hardware and Software purchases.

Qualifications and Experience
Certification in CITRIX/CCA.
Diploma or Advanced Certificate @ NQF 6 in Information Technology will be advantageous.
The following additional certifications will be advantageous:
ITIL Foundation version 3.
COBIT
TOGAF
System Architecture design.
Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP).
Active Directory skills.
Microsoft Server Operating Systems – Windows Server/2008r2/2012.
Relevant 5 - 7 years' experience in System Administration/ Engineer environment which 2 years must have been on a supervisory level/ area of expertise.

Remuneration

Total cost to company applicable to this position is minimum R766 887.00 per annum, negotiable.
