Background

Wits Health Consortium (Pty) Limited (“WHC“) is a wholly owned Company of the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg (South Africa) under its Faculty of Health Sciences. WHC provides Faculty with a legal framework within which to operate the research and other activities necessary to support its academic objectives. In addition WHC offers a range of products and services to the Academics conducting these activities in order to assist with the management thereof.

Main purpose of the job

To provide overall operations management function for the National Immunization Coverage Survey
Location

NICD, Modderfontein Rd, Sandringham
Key performance areas

Assist with survey logistics and task allocation as per survey protocol and guidelines
Collating reports for allocation of work to field teams, fieldwork progress, data collection and upload and any other survey related reports
Following up on any required approvals
Setting up meetings and liaison with stakeholders
Ensuring proper documentation of meeting minutes and timely follow-up of action points
Coordinating transportation of field teams
Involved in training of field workers
Coordinating community entry activities
Assisting with coordinating information upload from tablets to main server
Data transcription and translation
Regular reports and feedback to survey manager
Any other required duties in line with job requirements
Required minimum education and training

Relevant degree in Bachelors degree
Required minimum work experience

Minimum of 2 years of work experience
Desirable additional education, work experience and personal abilities

Must have in-depth, comprehensive, and evolving knowledge of computer applications.
Strong leadership and diplomatic skills
Financial, HR and strategic management
Advanced computer literacy
Willingness to work extended hours and travelling
