Warehouse Planner | CW | Gauteng

There is currently a position vacant in Cool Wines for a Warehouse Planner, based in Johannesburg.

Job Purpose:

The Warehouse Planner is responsible for the inbound and outbound related work planning on a daily basis. The inbound planning consists of receiving and put away, to make stock available against customer orders. The outbound planning is focused on order processing and scheduling of pick work sheets. Included in the outbound planning in internal replenishment between bulk storage and the pick face area, in order to prepare the pick face for effective picking. Picking tasks will be released to the Material handlers and the workload divided as per planner’s discretion. The planner will monitor progress and assist with queries.

Key Inputs:

Operational Excellence

Validate all orders ensure shipping date is correct and order can be fulfilled with stock on hand.
Manage route planning for all orders as per vehicle availability and vehicle capacity. Route planning loaded on Zeno.
Manage the picking plan for all orders as per warehouse staff capacity. Order release as per picking plan
Monitor the performance of the warehouse in accordance to picking requirements. Ensure all picks are completed and registered as planned.

Monitor the warehouse receipts
Manage the available capacity of the warehouse to ensure efficient
Manage that put always are in the correct bins to ensure efficiency in the Warehouse
Monitor the return sales orders.
Daily monitoring and planning which bins to be replenished for next pick run.
Ensure all replenishments are completed before pick sheets released
Assist with operational queries to complete the picking process
Effective Administration

Hourly picking statistics provided.
Prepare and submit the warehouse planning dashboard daily
Prepare daily trip sheet ensuring efficient allocation of orders to available vehicles
Communication to relevant parties relating to warehouse planning queries

Candidate Requirements
Qualifications and Experience:

Grade 12
Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain / Warehousing
3- 5 years’ experience Warehouse Planning
Warehouse Management system
Attention to detail

Intricate ERP knowledge
