We are looking for a customer focused, dynamic individuals to provide our customers with the correct range of products throughout the peak periods of the day, measured in terms of freshness, taste, quality, consistency, and availability. This will be delivered in a clean food-safe bakery.
Minimum Requirements
Matric or prior bakery business experience
minimum 5 years baking experience
Duties & Responsibilities
Deliver customer service that exceeds customer expectations.
Establish daily production plans aligned to the respective peak period day parts within the store. These plans must reinforce the right planning disciplines through the implementation and maintenance of the required standards laid down by the PnP Bakery Division.
Ensure that the SOPs for the bakery are implemented and maintained correctly so that the bakery team is able to transform the SOPs into a daily routine that delivers consistency in product and service that exceeds customer expectations.
Implement and maintain the specified disciplines of display and merchandising standards in accordance with the required planograms, making sure that it is clearly communicated to all the employees responsible for managing the sales area.
Maintain on the job training to ensure that the bakery employees are skilled and aligned to what is required in terms of the National Bakery divisionsβ objectives.
Competencies
The typical duties and responsibilities would be as follows, however, these may be amended for specific job roles:
Be able to interpret the financial performance of the department and translate the financial indicators into constructive feedback that delivers positive action that drives the required bakery teamβs performance standards as detailed in the Bakery Departments SOPβs.
Understand the LSM (living standards measure) profile that applies to the customer that supports the store on a daily basis.
Analytical skills in interpreting and reacting to the output (KPIβs) of the key performance areas (KPAβs) of the bakery and back up areas of the store appointed to.

Technical Baking Skills: Bread and roll production, Confectionery, Sweet & Savoury Tarts.
