Strategic Talent Pool - Butchery Manager-Pick n Pay
Although we currently do not have a vacancy for this position, we anticipate that our business will have a need for this in the near future, hence we are proactively advertising and sourcing talent. When the vacancy becomes available, we will review this talent pool for suitable candidates. We are looking for a customer focused, dynamic individuals to provide our customers with the correct range of products throughout the peak periods of the day, measured in terms of freshness, taste, quality, consistency, and availability. This will be delivered in a clean food-safe butchery.
Minimum Requirements
Prior Butchery business experience
Minimum 3 years working in a Butchery
2 years Butchery Management experience
Duties & Responsibilities
The typical duties and responsibilities would be as follows, however, these may be amended for specific job roles:
Deliver customer service that exceeds customer expectations.
Establish daily production plans aligned to the respective peak period day parts within the store. These plans must reinforce the right planning disciplines through the implementation and maintenance of the required standards laid down by the PnP Butchery Division.
Ensure that the SOPS for the Butchery are adhered to and maintained correctly so that the Butchery team are able to transform the SOPS into a daily routine that delivers consistency in product and service that exceeds customer expectations.
Implement and maintain the on the job training system to ensure that the Butchery staff are skilled and aligned to what is required by Butchery division guidelines.
Efficiently and effectively process raw materials in line with Butchery Division recipe specifications.
Implement and maintain the required food safety standards in terms of hygiene, housekeeping and product safety.
Competencies
Be able to read and understand the financial reports of the department and translate the financial indicators into constructive feedback that delivers positive action that drives the required performance standards as detailed Butchery Department SOPS.
Analytical skills in interpreting and reacting to the outputs (KPIโs) of the key performance areas (KPAโs) of the Butchery Department back up areas of the store that he is appointed to.
Understand the demographics of the neighbourhood around the store and be able to interpret the daily needs of the consumers that shop in his store.
Additional Information
Have the correct technical butchery skills: to break carcasses down into primal cuts, must have correct knife skills for deboning product into the required retail products, production planning skills,
