Stock Costing Clerk (Midrand)

Crest Chemicals is looking to recruit a Stock Costing Clerk to work in Midrand.

Crest Chemicals (Crest) represents several international manufacturers of specialty and commodity chemical products and distributes these to a large number of industries in South Africa and Southern Africa. Its six divisions service key markets in food, paints and coatings, pharmaceutical and personal care, mining and water treatment, surfactants, and general industry. Duties & Responsibilities Bulk tank manufacturing and receipts.
Check that stock costing complies with costing policies and procedures.
Container management.
Ex-whart costing, receipts and invoicing.
Inter-branch costing, transfers and receipts.
Local and import stock costing and receipting.
Manage returns to suppliers.
Month end stock checks and maintenance of stock registers.
Participate in stock counts as required.
Preparation of general ledger journals.
Preparation of miscellaneous issues, receipts and valuation changes.
Processing of approved credit notes.

Semi-bulk transaction and invoicing.
Stock costing calculations.
Toll manufacturing and receipts.
Various ad-hoc tasks as requested.
Assist with internal and external audits.
Assist Creditors with GRN matching queries.
Creation of stock returns.
Reconciliation of offsite Nitrocellulose Warehouse stock holding.
Update and maintain Credit Note Reasons Spreadsheet. Qualifications & Experience Matric.
Bookkeeping certificate/Diploma or NQF equivalent will be advantageous.
Minimum 3 years’ stock costing experience.
Knowledge of SAGE ERP systems advantageous.
Computer literacy: good MS Excel skills. Competencies Planning and organizational skills.
Customer service skills.
Team player.
