Job profile: To maximise specification performance, in line with Company objectives and strategy, working as part of the regional team to drive Product proposition to develop customer satisfaction and to facilitate specification vs order closure. Work as part of an integrated regional team to drive Product Leadership proposition to develop customer satisfaction.
Key Accountabilities:
Deliver sales revenue for region
Responsible for profitable development of project bank ((commercial sector including โRhinowallโ), specifying the range of Gyproc solutions and new products, actively engaging with specifiers and influencers (eg Architects and government offices) to achieve this.
To work across the supply chain, internal and external, engaging specifiers and influencers to promote system solutions
Ensure follow though from specification to order in line with KPI.
Strong focus on project management, building sustainable relationships to maximise market advantage ensuring KPI regarding Gyproc specification vs projects are met.
To be driven by performance board vs standard board KPIโs by ensuring specification offering includes product stand outs, expertise and advice on advantages of our comprehensive product range. Communicating the entire value proposition to customer.
Proactively identifying new opportunities for enhanced specifications, uncovering and understanding these through application of trained techniques, supply chain knowledge, commercial awareness and in depth knowledge of customersโ businesses.
Achievement of local demand forecast in line with regional KPI.
Project tracking from architect to quantity surveyor to hand over at quantity surveyor level
Assist and /or give presentations to Inland Regional team as necessary, and to customer base with focus the specifiers. .
Successful management of CRM Project leads through specifiers where applicable.
Working with other team members to develop technical skills.
Attend Habitat meetings giving timeous feedback when required
Adherence to strict ethical codes of conduct and maintenance of confidentiality at all times
Adherence to Company reporting procedure/commercial admin systems, offering appropriate feedback and information.
Responsibility for safety aspects within area of responsibility
Manage product performance issues in-line with Company guidelines.
Awareness of broader SG proposition to pass on potential opportunities presented.
Provide timeous input into management reports as and when required to Regional Specifications Manager
Qualifications required to fulfil the role:
Degree, Diploma or relevant industry qualification in construction/building disciplines is preferred, or equivalent industry experience.
Matriculation, including English and Maths
Willingness to undertake relevant higher qualification is desirable
Good working knowledge of current design packages eg AutoCad
Driver licence
Candidate needs to be able bodied, enthusiastic, energetic, and willing to travel daily
Specific work experience required to fulfil the role:
Proven technical expert within their field - experienced architectural technician,
Successful promotion of solutions /specifications
Ability to identify innovative solutions
Ability to interpret technical designs/drawingsl.
Knowledge of construction process stages and ability to identify opportunities to improve efficiency within a customersโ construction programme.
Understanding of current market legislation, eg SANS 10 400 and the Green Star rating System and the practical implications and impacts within a business.
The ability to articulate a high degree of technical knowledge to key stakeholders (external and internal) to enable translation of opportunity into commercial benefit
Supply chain awareness, understanding the process and identifying/targeting opportunities.
