MAIN JOB PURPOSE:
To assist with the quality assurance service to the business in order to ensure that products produced by the company are fit for use by the consumers according to Company’s specifications and standards. To drive zero defect culture within the organization.


JOB SUMMARY
· Operational Activities
· Carryout on line trouble shooting to identify product quality issues and generating of NCA in the event that quality defects are identified.
· Carry out monthly checks discarding retention samples that are older than the specified retention period plus one-month.
· Maintain an environment of 5s within retention storage area.
· Participate in sensory panels
· Retrieval of samples from retention location and setting-up against Customer complaint sample and preparing all the necessary forms for evaluation.
· Evaluating customer complaints against standards and completing evaluation documentation.

· Conduct stock takes on chemicals and consumables
· Maintain Good Laboratory Practices
· Ensure compliance to ISO 9001 in the laboratory
· Conduct verifications and calibrations on all laboratory equipment

Administrative Activities
· Daily filling of all reports/forms as listed below;
· Retention Sample Register.
· Generating of NCA's.
· Kaizen review
· Interact with QC technicians ensuring that information regarding non-conformances is logged and addressed and ensuring face to face handovers are conducted
· Ensure all results are documented and can be easily retrieved
· Interact with production in identifying when line changeovers occur and the communications of quality problems identified in the packing process.


KEY REQUIREMENTS
· Completed S4 Biotechology / S4 Analytical Chemistry /S4 Microbiology
· Ability to work well in a team
· Attention to detail
· Good communication skills
· Ability to handle Pressure
