Driver's License code 10
Professional Drivers Permit (PDP)
Previous driving experience as a delivery driver
Good Customer Service skills (Courteous, patient, pleasant, enthusiastic)
Good Communication skills,
Able to problem-solve
Attention to detail
Ability to handle fragile packages and parcels with care,
Ability to work under pressure,

Ability to work in a team,
Ability to drive long distances when the need arises,
Be physically fit to handle heavy boxes
Able to meet expected timelines


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



The KDC Driver is expected to deliver stock safely and efficient to designated location within set timeframe and ensure proper handling and delivery of stock with high standards of customer care. Furthermore, the driver is expected to assist in the KDC Warehouse where necessary when not performing delivery duties.



Keep accurate records of all deliveries and customer authorization and ensure all documentation is submitted to line manager on time.
Properly use and maintain delivery equipment.
Handle heavy boxes with care.
Drive safely and follow all laws and rules of driving to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
Continually maintain the delivery vehicle by ensuring that fuel and oil is checked regularly, the vehicle is available for all maintenance services and the vehicle is kept neat and clean.
Communicate with customers by phone to update them of time of deliveries if there have been issues or changes to their estimated time of arrival.
Follow pre-planned route accurately without deviation from set course unless extremely necessary, for which the driver must communicate changes to line manager.
Maintain communication with line manager of any change of delivery, route or schedule.
Inform line manager of any obstructions to making safe, efficient deliveries on time.
Assist in the KDC Warehouse if and when not on delivery or attending to the maintenance of the vehicle.
Assist with and fulfil any other duties requested by the line manager.
Minimum Requirements



Matric certificate
Code 10 driver’s license (currently valid)
PDP
Previous delivery driving experience
R5k - R7k pm
