About the Position
Purpose
Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Communications Specialist will manage all RMA communication activities both internally and externally. Ensure that RMA has active, consistent and meaningful communication through online and print communication channels in line with RMAΓ’β¬β’s vision, strategy and brand.
Qualifications and Experience Required
Tertiary qualification at NQ5 (Communication)
5 years Communication experience within the Insurance/financial services environment
Key Areas of Responsibility

Unpack complex business needs and to provide creative solutions considering all stakeholdersStrong understanding of how to create targeted communication for specific audiences
Work closely with business clients to solve business challenges with engaging communication solutions that you will need to develop and implement according to Plain Language Principles
Manage creative projects from conception to completion
Build and maintain relationships with key business people, both at a strategic and operational level
Constantly identifying opportunities to improve communication in all areas
Conceptualise, execute and manage targeted communication campaigns
Updating of content, documents and imagery on all digital platforms on
ongoing basisΓ’β¬β website and different digital tools
Create social media (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn) content and uploading of
content and images
Manage conceptualisation and production of content and delivery of
Internal and external newsletter
Proactive
Bringing ideas to business
Doing feasibility studies and defining new ways of doing things
Measure impact and drive corrective action
Ensure effective implementation of communication plans

Responding to business needs
Manage PR and Media related campaigns
Co-ordinating related major projects and campaigns
Identify and exploit PR opportunities to maximise RMAΓ’β¬β’s work, to relevant targeted sector specific media
Crisis Comms - Ensure any negative coverage is swiftly and effectively responded to, including production of holding and position statements prior to any media interest
