JOB DESCRIPTION

The Logistics Department requires a Code 14 Driver who will be responsible for driving a truck. Tasks include, amongst others:

· Be responsible for the vehicle.

· Inspection of the vehicle and to report all faults.

· Loading and off-loading of various products

· Handle documentation

· Ensuring cleanliness of vehicle both internally and externally

· Ensure adherence to the Road Traffic Act

· Ensure the safety of other road users

· Abide by the regulations as set out in the Occupational Health and Safety Act, company policies and the regulations of the road.

· Navigate your way around Gauteng area and once and awhile do a long-distance trip

QUALIFYING EXPERIENCE

A Grade 12 certificate
Valid, unendorsed Code 14 license with valid PDP
License 2 years and older
5 years driving experience
Hands-on and practical approach to the job
Must have at least 2 contactable references


QUALIFYING ATTRIBUTES

· Effective communication skills – verbal and written

· Neat and well groomed (PPE must be clean and worn at all times)

· Time management and organisational skills

· Display a professional work approach

· Excellent state of health

· Hard working and self-motivated

· Warehouse support by picking and packing of orders on days where there are no deliveries

· Prepared to work overtime and weekends when needed

· Safe driving record and clean criminal record

Type: Permanent appointment

Benefits include:
