Vice President of Sales

Our company is a global leader in the development of wireless web access products and services. We offer a series of wireless web access devices and related web delivery platforms, including tablets & Smart phones.

We are currently seeking a Vice President of Sales who will set up a national distribution channel (set up channels and agreements with distributors, sub-distributors) for our Ubislate tablets through independent retailers.

This position will be based in South Africa.

Responsibilities:

Set up distribution channels with distributors, sub-distributors, OEM's and value-added re-sellers for our tablets at a national level and international level
Negotiate agreements with distributors, sub-distributors, OEM's and value-added re-sellers who will in turn find and sell to retail outlets.
Negotiate with mobile operators for wholesale agreements
Sell to independent retailers
Set up and manage network of distributors
Spear-heading sales campaigns

Manage marketing budget

Key Qualifications:

A relevant diploma/certificate/Bachelors degree. Post-graduate degree in relevant field or an MBA is an asset
Minimum 5 years of senior-level experience in consumer electronic sales & national distribution channel set up
Minimum 5 years of experience selling to mobile operators and mobile handset distributors
Must have minimum 5 years experience acquiring contracts and agreements with distributors to set up distribution channel and sell to retail outlets at a national level
Negotiation skills, tact, autonomy, public relations skills
Enthusiastic self-starter that thrives on sales and commissions
Willingness to travel
Demonstrated time management, organizational, collaborative and prioritization skills.
