Technical Manager, Durban

Our client is a leading manufacturer in the plastics industry. They are seeking a Technical Manager with Polymer Science background.

The ideal candidate will have excellent numerical and technical skills and a great knowledge of quality management systems.

Applicants must have polymer and manufacturing experience.

Job Description

Management of Quality Assurance Systems
Team leadership
Management of material compliance (testing, analysis of existing and new materials and finished product)
Responsible for compliance of all staff to policies and procedures
Responsible for accuracy, updating and improvement of relevant policies, procedures, work instructions and SOP’s
Investigation and resolution of all technical / quality concerns (in-house and with customers)

Training
Audits
Customer complaints, investigation and resolution
Management of laboratory equipment
Minimum requirements

Matric + degree in Chemistry or Polymer Science or related
Experience in a manufacturing environment working with polymers
Technical knowledge
Quality Assurance experience and expertise in quality management systems
Excellent analytical skills
