Technical Support Administrator
Our client within the teaching and training indsutry, is looking for an experienced, confident and well-spoken IT Administrator / Technical Support Consultant.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Asset Management:
- Maintain an inventory of parts for emergency repairs
- Maintain the asset register and ensure new equipment is specified
- Server administration (active directory, exchange management)
Printers:
- Update print services
- Order new printer consumables
- Maintain Printer service providers SLA
Repairs and Maintenance:

- Arrange repair for hardware in occasion of hardware failure- Maintain systems
- Monitor network communication
- Monitor system performance/health
Support:
- Manage IT service desk software
- Offering users appropriate support and advice
- Provide technical support to customers
- Conduct customer installations and support (on site) when necessary.
- Maintenance and update of website/s
- Maintenance and daily updates on the CRM (Customer relationship management) system
- Maintenance of employeeβs computers, including configurations, backups, installations and repairs
- Maintenance and configurations of office emails, servers, including Linux proxy servers, firewalls and print servers
- Burning and preparation of DVD/USB releases
- Testing of general software and problem solving
- Testing of necessary software and problem solving
- Perform any other IT related task/duty required
- Provide remote IT Support
REQUIREMENTS:
- Grade 12 or equivalent (essential)
- A+ certification / N+ certification (beneficial)
- 2 yearsβ IT background
- Windows (essential)
- MS Office and Office 365 (essential)
- MS Server 2008 and 2012 (suggested)
- Active Directory (suggested)
- Exchange (suggested)
- Linux experience (Advantageous)
Basic Salary: R12 000 - R16 000 pm (Pension and Medical Benefits)
