ELECTRICAL DISTRIBUTION SECTION

Task Level T7

R140 376- R182 208 (Basic Salary)
R225 906 – R276 687 (Total Cost to Council Package)

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS OF POST:
 Repairing of streetlights
 Check and repair malfunctioning robots
 Operating and driving the hoist truck and cherry picker
 Assisting the electricians where necessary and on standby duty
 Supervising labour doing manual work
 Other electrical tasks as assigned


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
 Grade 12
 M6 (module 6) electrical training or an equivalent
 At least 3-years relevant experience of which 2 years must be in a supervisory capacity
 Valid EC1 driver’s licence + PDP
 Be prepared to work overtime when needed 
Effective communication skills in at least two of the three Western Cape official languages
