Overall purpose of the position:
The Client Care Centre provides telephonic personal lines support. The Service Consultant is responsible to review individual applications for insurance to evaluate the degree of risk involved, to determine suitable underwriting solutions, the ability to sell to new prospects as well as up selling on the existing book to assist with queries and to complete annual renewals.
Job Specifications:
Analyse individual needs of clients to provide suitable underwriting support
Assist in resolving clients queries in a timeous manner
Confirm FAIS compliance of documentation received
Maintaining detailed record of all actions taken
Following up on leads and referrals
Identify and correct deviations
Complete annual renewals
Retention of clients
Strong selling abilities
Qualifications & Experience:
Regulatory Examination level 1 (Representatives) β RE 5
NQF Level 4 Short Term Insurance qualification of suitable alternative as recognised by the Financial Services Board (Minimum: Fully compliant for personal lines)
Minimum of five (5) yearsΒ΄ experience in the financial services industry, with a focus on personal lines underwriting
Previous working experience in a client services environment
Grade 12 (Standard 10)
