Senior Payroll Administrator
Minimum Requirements:
• Matric
• VIP Payroll experience
• Bookkeeping experience
• 4 – 5 years in a similar role
• MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Credit and Criminal checks will be done
• Experience with all Bargaining Councils will be advantageous
• Proven ability to communicate and maintain relationships with people on all levels within a company including external clients.
• Ability to work within a team
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Ability to adjust to changing situations, new work, last minute requests
• Strong customer service focus
• Able to process, capture and maintain multiple VIP payrolls unassisted
• Maintains a good filing system
• Generate payroll reports in MS Excel
• Prepares and maintains various wage data on excel spread sheets
• Computer literacy
• Bookkeeping knowledge
• Able to capture invoices, perform basic reconciliations and general administration
• Excellent numeracy and accuracy skills.
• Ability to reconcile EMP201’s on a monthly basis and ensure that the annual totals balance.
• Knowledge of Tax year end process and submission.
• Knowledge of leave and bonus provisions
• Strong knowledge of Basic Conditions of employment
• Ability to be methodical, diligent, focused and pay special attention to detail.
• Ability to use initiative
• Ability to work independently but also be a team player.
• Ability to work under immense pressure and have a high level of stress tolerance.
• Good time management and organizational skills.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Admin role in payroll (will be required to file and maintain employee files)
• High energy level.
• High level on integrity
• Strong work ethic
