The Sales Consultant forms an essential part of the IBV experience through providing a swift and valued experience to our customers. This sales-commissioned team member provides world class customer service and expertly sells IBV products and services to meet our clients needs.
Responsibilities and Duties
The key responsibilities and accountabilities are:
Effectively communicate and determine merchandise required by customer and suggest alternative and/or additional products, services and upgrades related to the customerβs order.
Strong emphasis on selling and revenue maximization on core products.
Achieve personal sales goals while supporting the goals of the team.
Personally welcome clients with a pleasant greeting and answer questions in an accommodating manner.
Manage the order, payment and delivery process, in compliance with IBVβs policies and procedures, with accuracy and attention to detail.
Maintain counter area displays of merchandise in an orderly and attractive manner.
Keeps abreast of new product information and upcoming product promotions.
Operate within the areas of retail counter and back office, supporting with administrative and compliance tasks.
Mandatory Requirements
Educational Background:
Matric
Service Excellence or related qualification
Professional Experience:
2- 3 years customer service and sales experience required. Exposure to administration and compliance required.
Basic Qualifications:
Proven strong sales and closing skills and the ability to sell in a friendly, engaging manner
Incumbent must carry themselves in a professional manner.
Passion for customer service and attention to detail β Goes the extra mile
Strong computer proficiency, including typing skills and the ability to work on Microsoft Office
Basic mathematical skills required to accurately complete assigned tasks (discounts, markups, customer pricing, negotiation etc.)
Must be able to:
Demonstrate good communication skills both written and oral. Communicate in English proficiently.
Have the competitive drive and confidence to succeed in a commission-based environment
Work in a fast-paced environment with a variety of tasks. Excellent organizational and time management skills
Demonstrate sales, professionalism and interpersonal skills
Show a high level of ownership, accountability and initiative.
Proven experience of working well within a team.
100% customer focus, with proven experience within a customer facing environment
Work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays; and work overtime as required
