Nike Sales partners with retailers to deliver the products, experiences and brand stories that make Nike the preeminent sports brand. It starts with the best sales team in the industry: Nike Sales employees keenly understand consumers, the marketplaces and Nike products. They collaborate with Nike Marketing, Merchandising and Product teams to create sales assortments for each season. RESPONSIBILITIES

NCX-Led Marketplace Strategy

Continuously map assess the marketplace to define key account positioning, consumer experience and capability against strategic priorities.
Work with Nike leadership and Strategic Account Directors / Key Account Managers to identify and prioritize territory accounts to partner on Nike Consumer Experience (NCX) development.
Partner with account Integrated Account Teams (IAT) and functional partners to define and deliver the NCX: removing friction and creating distinction, serving Nike consumers and accelerating digital growth & membership.
Perform Consumer Research and define projects that create a great Retailer Experience spanning: Service, Environment, Staff and Product Differentiation.
Prioritize and manage project delivery; during Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and within the fiscal year.

Guide the Nike IAT and ensure accountability for project ROI.
Suggest budgets to relevant projects: strategic accounts, digital first, scalable, key cities.
Communication and reporting of progress to Nike and distributors(s) leadership
Cooperate with global accounts on international expansion and partnerships (if any).
In partnership with New Business Models Director (EMEA), identify new business models and partnerships, define a plan (explore & pilot test activations).
Lead the city wholesale experience strategy
Partner with Strategic Account
Elevate key locations in partnership with the Strategic Account
Align with DSM on reporting level
Drive and promote the Everyone.com mentality (Everyone.com refers to making everyone accountable for driving and supporting digital as part of their responsibilities)
Accountable for digital marketplace management: owns and drives marketplace management strategy

Digital Marketplace
Map the digital experience across the marketplace
Evaluate key partner digital capabilities (key & strategic accounts)
Be on top of new digital experiences landing in the marketplace
Define the digital NCX menu
Define digital projects based on the marketplace/retailer assessments
Lead, plan & execute digital experiences with NCX partners
Help develop retailer specific executions and scale if possible
Fast and agile approach to the projects
Be present at least once a month in the IATโ€™s (projects track & update)
Ensure that IATโ€™s execute elevated digital experiences on a consistent basis
Share best practices to elevate the Nike digital experience across the marketplace
Support projects at B&M where digital capabilities are a reality
Assess & maximize digital services offerd by our partners
Share best practices
Work with the new business model director to deliver disruptive executions
Refine and execute the Nike ecommerce strategy
Assess strategic ecommerce accounts โ€“ Multi-brand (MB) omnichannel and pure players - to partner.
Ensure cooperation between Nike functions and partner teams to deliver strategy
Develop KPIโ€™s and tracking processes and tools
General
Accountable to establish and maintain timely, consistent and positive external and internal relationships. Provide exceptional customer service by developing and maintaining strong relationships with Nike and partner personnel. Establish effective communication x-functionally within Nike South Africa Team. Maintain active and positive communication channels between Nike South Africa Team and Partner Teams. Keep manager informed of opportunities, problems, progress, and support needed. Share expertise and best practice information with the Sales team. Demonstrates link between daily work and company mission and strategies; participates in initiatives, programs or products with moderate visibility. Support key processes such as Quarterly Business Review (QBR) , Annual Operating Plan (AOP), Corporate Strategy Review (CSR).
Provide category and consumer insights and forecasts.
BACKGROUND AND QUALITIES
Typically requires a Bachelor Degree and minimum of 3 year relevant work experience
Must understand the competitive market, customers and retail trends
Strong understanding of retail landscape, project management, business planning and retailer relationships
Experience and track record of success leading teams working on elevating categories and/or brand initiatives.
Proven track record increasing revenue by creating and driving a holistic business plans inclusive of short and long term business strategies and financial targets.
Exceptionally strong verbal and written communication skills, with ability to clearly articulate goals and objectives.
Able to influence both cross functionally and vertically within the industry and marketplace.
Account management and ecommerce experience preferred.
