Maintenance Planner

A well-established international chemical manufacturing company requires the above to be part of the plant maintenance team and to provide technical support as well as plant maintenance planning and execution coordination to optimize plant availability.
Minimum requirements for the role:
A National Diploma or similar qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is essential.
Must have experience within the heavy industry.
Previous SAP experience is essential.
Must be knowledgeable of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.
Computer literacy is essential with good working knowledge of Microsoft packages.
Must be energetic with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Ensuring optimal availability and performance of the plant and equipment reliability.
Developing, reviewing and updating all maintenance schedules for the plant including facilities maintenance.
Optimising the engineering program including the annual shutdown.
Planning and scheduling of resources required for execution and ensuring proper execution of all planned maintenance work.
Performing work planning and control via work packages.
Managing the operation and control of the CMMS.
Procuring engineering spares and equipment as well as managing the engineering store and documentation system.
Liaising with the production team with regards to work status and critical work.
Compiling KPI reports e.g. availability, manpower utilisation, planned work vs unplanned work, etc.
Controlling and maintaining SHE and risk schedules and documentation.
