POSITION SYNOPSIS:
To execute production or logistics activities according to the Schedule and operate the physical assets, plant and equipment as defined by HSEC requirements, the Operation’s standards and operating procedures.

REQUIREMENTS:
Serious contenders will have Grade 12 with Mathematics / Grade 10 (Internal candidates) with 1-year minimum experience operating an ADT in a mining environment;
In depth knowledge of Mining machinery is essential;
In depth knowledge of Safety rules and regulations is essential;
Valid Code B Drivers Licence is essential.
CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Operates equipment, evaluates onsite conditions, makes tactical decisions and determines appropriate responses;
Responsible for adhering to operational requirements, principles and procedure, maintenance and training in the use of appropriate personal protection equipment;
Ensure timely and accurate reporting of all events and hazards;
Ensures timeous response to a wide variety of incidents;
Responsible for upkeep of equipment and ensures equipment is safely and securely stored;

Ensure that maintenance checks are scheduled and completed at the required standard;
Conduct the pre-shift checks;
Look at task list and list priorities for the day and record the findings on a pre-shift check book;
Complete Pre-shift report prior to operating machine.
