The Facilitator creates a conducive learning environment to encourage learning through interactive activities, thought provoking conversation and โ€œreal worldโ€ activities that encourage knowledge transfer, dot connect between the theory and the Telesure work place and open conversation and feedback.
The Facilitator is responsible for the effective preparation, facilitation and post learning impact support related to internal learning programmes and its key learning objectives.

ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Have a key understanding of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects.
Effectively prepare for the face to face facilitation session, to ensure clear understanding of the overall programme learning outcomes.
Facilitate the Face to face session ensuring the participants engage in all activities.
Provide feedback based on participantโ€™s activity, ability to learn and understand the theory and ability to apply the learning in a workplace environment.
Develop and maintain productive working relationships with peers and seniors.
Build relevant and appropriate relationships with the learners as well as managers.
Use available business relevant information to drive the learning within the classroom.
Facilitation skills:
Understands and is experienced in the key concepts and activities related to facilitation.

Is able to create context and conversation that allows learners to engage based on the topic.
Be aware of others' reactions and understanding as to why they react as they do.
Understands and is able to implement a variety of facilitation techniques to ensure learning is delivered in the most appropriate manner to suit the learners needs as well as ensuring the learning environment is maintained.
Is up to date and investigates new facilitation techniques and methodologies; as well as works with stakeholders to ensure learning is delivered in the most appropriate manner.

Communication skills:
Listening skills, attuned to the needs of the participants who are being engaged.
Effectively communicate verbal information and ideas in a manner that others are able to understand the core message.
Clearly and effectively share information via written communication.
Is confident to present information in a clear concise manner.
Can read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.
The proper use of grammar, sentence structure and attention to spelling.

Agility and Innovation:
Use logic, reasoning and agility to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
Is able to assess the methodology / technique / facilitation used and the relevance and impact it is having within the learning environment, is able to adjust the method used to ensure the learning is being delivered in the most effective and efficient manner for the learners to understand.
Flexible in approach to people, situations, circumstances
Provide solutions to challenges presented in the face to face facilitation sessions or related to the learning within the classroom.
Assess and adapt the learning method to suit the learners needs and ability to understand the content while still ensuring the integrity of the learning and programmes key outcomes.

Able to work independently as well as in a team.

Business Acumen:
Understand the current challenges facing business as well as the key objectives and strategies that Telesure and the specific BU wants to achieve.
Source and collate relevant business related information from multiple sources.

Understand and actively engage with the LMS to assist the learning process.
A deep and comprehensive understanding of systems relevant to the relevant facilitated programmes.

Business Impact Measurement:
Understands the key principles of business impact measurement and what influences the delivery of results.

Requirements
Experience:
A minimum of 2-4 yearsโ€™ experience within a corporate environment as a facilitator.
Ideal areas of experience:
oExperience in the Learning and Development industry.
oExperience in the Insurance industry.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
A tertiary qualification (degree) โ€“ NQF 5 or 6 or
ETDP
Accredited assessor
