Description
The main purpose of the position is to support users to obtain high levels of productivity in the use of IT equipment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Connect all desktop hardware to the network or standalone ensuring all systems are operational
Install and connect new desktop hardware and to provide the required additional applications according to userβs requirements
Set up, maintain and provide ongoing support for video conference equipment and projectors.
Prepare, install and provide ongoing support to users on various Desktop Operating Systems (e.g. Windows XP / 7 / 10) and Application software (e.g. BAAN).
Troubleshoot and perform repairs on problematic desktop equipment
Troubleshoot and perform repairs on modems, 3G cards, network cards, telephones and cabling
Provide backup to Network support on technical support for mail gateways and servers
Assist user with queries relating to basic computer skills and competencies
Familiarise yourself with at all times act in accordance with the company policies and procedures
Comply with GMP/GLP requirements as outlined by company SOPβs and written instructions in all tasks and activities

Requirements
Matric/Grade 12/N3 or equivalent
A+ Certificate
N+ Certificate
MCSE certificate an advantage
Extensive product knowledge of MS Office and Windows XP / 7 / 10
Knowledge of imaging of PCβs and Laptops
