About the Position

A well-established national company specialising in the production of lime and specialised minerals requires the above to join the Logistics Department to manage the logistics function, whilst providing specialist advice on transport-related issues.

Minimum requirements for the role:

Tertiary qualification in Logistics or Transport Management or related is essential.
Previous management experience is essential.
Previous call centre or customer services experience is essential.
Must understand logistics and transportation.
Must have ERP experience.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Managing the logistics function, whilst focusing on vehicle performance and optimisation.

Maintaining the budget and reforecast models.
Verifying and authorising dedicated deduction to fixed costs.
Monitoring raw material stock figures and customer levels on a daily basis.
Analysing profit and loss per load reports and historical payload statistics.
Participating in Transport Operations, Despatch/Marketing and Production Meetings.
Ensuring AARTO compliance within the company.
Liaising with bulk tank manufacturers on legal payloads and weight distribution.
Negotiating and agreeing standing time costs.
Analysing and distributing distance verification reports as required.
Verifying returns and completing credit note generation forms.
Generating payload management schedule.
Generating ISO incident investigation forms.
Maintaining updated site maps.
Generating tracking reports.
Compiling monthly payload variance reports.
Investigating/resolving customers complaints.
Salary package, including benefits, are highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
