Assistant Store Manager - Galleria Mall

💰Salary	R8,000.00 to R12,000.00 /month

Organizing, planning and implementing strategies
Coordinate operations
Ensure that monthly store target is met by training, motivating, mentoring and providing feedback to sales staff
Communicate with the customers and evaluate their needs and specifications and deliver excellent customer service
Monitor retail operating costs, budgets and resources
Training and development of staff
Develop business strategies to increase our customer base, footfall and optimize profitability
Ensure compliance with policies and procedures
Complete accurate and timely attendance for all employees as per Company policies and procedures
Conducting the cash up process in accordance with Company requirements
Ensure replenishment is done throughout the store
Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards, as well as creating a positive store environment
Conduct personnel performance appraisals to assess training needs and build career paths
Maintain an efficient and organized office area and stock room

Complete stock take preparation
Ensure that there is no theft / stock loss in the store
Implementation and execution of promotions
Ensure you are always dressed in the Company uniform in accordance with the policy, with good hygiene
Report on buying trends, customer needs, profits etc.
Deal with all issues that arise from staff or customers (complaints, grievances etc.)
Accuracy and efficiency of reports or administration to head office
Ensure that the team are skilled and motivated brand ambassadors
Ringing up of staff purchases personally (store / head office staff)
Handle all exchanges and refunds personally
Ensure safe keeping of store keys
Effective communication and delegation of duties to the team as well as across all departments
Create and execute succession plans and goal setting for the team’s growth and progression within the company
Maintain excellent housekeeping standards and complete these duties in a timely manner
Maintenance issues affecting the store presentation or brand are reported to management immediately
Awareness of best-selling and worst-selling items at any given time
Completing stock transfers, consolidations and damaged items effectively and in accordance with the Company policies and procedures
Drive initiatives to increase brand awareness both internally and externally
Understand the brand, able to identify the target customers and current customer demographic
Brand ambassador – knowledge of the brand and passion for the product
Communicate ideas / observations to the visual merchandiser as well as requests / suggestions by the customers
Management and control of stock queries and deliveries
Ensure that staff are rostered appropriately
Opening and closing of store
Banking of store money
Comply with the delivery and stock procedure
Any ad-hoc functions as required by management
Requirements:

Retail managerial experience for 2 or more years
Degree or diploma in Business Administration or relevant field
Proficient on MS packages
Expert in numerical skills
Capable of analytical skills
Expert in problem solving skills
