510 Driver Trainer

Job Purpose: This role is responsible for managing the overall training activity within the designated region, developing the network and upholding a positive brand image.
Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities

To perform this role successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Conduct training for drivers on the company product lines and product components and systems
Apply training aids, blended learning tools and techniques in the delivery of training
Design and build training material to assist with the delivery of training
Conduct competency assessments to measure participant performance
Conduct, analyse and prepare course evaluation reports
Capture all training records and ensure accurate training records are maintained in the correct system
Keep up to date on any changes, improvements and innovations concerning company products and services.
Continuously Improve own training, presentation and learning materials
Provide learning solutions concerning new product introduction and training needs

Ensure training centre classrooms are maintained at an optimum level of presentation
Reflect company culture with commitment to teaching and learning excellence
Stay updated on training schedule for bookings and training activities
Carry out audits, checks and inspections on all training equipment and tools to ensure it’s in safe working condition

Education and/or Experience

High school
Previous experience as a driver trainer or instructor for heavy vehicles
Valid EC drivers licence with PrDP
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to instruct drivers in a safe and professional manner
Excellent Knowledge of the company products and services
Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
Knowledge of all current applicable traffic laws and regulations pertaining to driving and safety
Ability to prioritize workload and work under pressure
Ability to adapt training according to the target group
Ability to work with different training methods or techniques
General computer skills
