Amazon Mechanical Turk is a service that provides access to an on-demand, scalable, workforce to complete jobs that humans can do better than computers. Common use cases include image recognition, audio transcription, machine learning algorithm training, sentiment analysis, data normalization, and surveys. At any given time, there are hundreds of thousands of jobs (called Human Intelligence Tasks, or β€œHITs”) available in the system. As a member of the Mechanical Turk Customer Support team, you will assist customers utilizing the platform to both find jobs, and publish jobs for others.
This position requires an action-orientated, flexible problem-solver who will assist users of the Mechanical Turk platform. Associates communicate with customers primarily via email and utilize a variety of software tools to navigate customer accounts, research and review policies and communicate effective solutions in a fun, and fast paced environment.
In addition, your responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to, the following:
Providing prompt, efficient, detailed, customer-oriented service to Mechanical Turk customers.
Working with other customer support teams to ensure a consistent and high-quality level of support.
Being a voice and advocate for our customers when something doesn’t feel right.
Working with customers to understand how they use Mechanical Turk services, and providing valuable feedback to business and development teams.
Acting as an advocate for our customer, reporting and acting on observed areas for improvement.
Actively seeking solutions to customer needs, communicating trends to leadership, and suggesting innovative solutions on behalf of the customer experience.
Assisting with customer communication during Mechanical Turk critical launches and support events.
Assuming responsibility for developing detailed knowledge about specific features.
Making sure internal knowledge reference pages are updated.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Familiarity with Web Technologies and the Internet.
Experience working directly with customers to resolve issues.
Proficiency in Outlook and MS Office, with an emphasis on Excel.
Excellent communication skills (spoken and written).
Ability to work weekends and/or evenings.
This is an hourly position that could require overtime.
Familiarity with SQL
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
A drive to dig into the details of a system or process to solve customer problems.
Some college experience in a technical field.
Excitement to learn new technologies and help customers succeed.
Known as the go-to person in your family for technology related questions.
Experience working under pressure in a fast-paced work environment while consistently meeting standards for productivity and quality
Demonstrated ability to work as an effective team member
