As Zando’s Marketplace Manager you will continuously build and maintain key supplier relationships, identify business opportunities, and maintain extensive knowledge of current market conditions.

Responsibilities:

Building and maintaining strong Supplier relationships.
Locating and proposing potential business deals by contacting potential partners; discovering and exploring opportunities.
Closing new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and analyses market strategies; evaluating options; and resolving internal priorities.
Negotiating contracts and integrating contract requirements with business operations.
Working closely with the Purchasing Department.
Analyzing and reporting on sales performance / analytics.
Product management involving continuous communication with Development Team.
Monitor and maintain set budgets and company strategies and manage Open to Buy (OTB) budgets against this.
Manage the replenishment process, monitor the supply chain order process and report accordingly.
Conduct regular analysis of how past merchandise buys have performed and the current market customer profile.
Education and Experience:

Degree/diploma in Business Management, B-Com or similar.
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Business Development / Category Manager role OR planning role with proven experience in setting up and implementing processes.
Knowledge of the SA fashion industry highly advantageous.
Experience in an e-commerce setting.
Sound understanding of online marketing tools and strategies.

Advanced level in MS Office package – with a specific focus on Excel and Powerpoint.
Be able to find solutions and be a good decision maker.
Has a strategic / planning view.
