Managing Director

Managing Director required by manufacturing client – will be responsible for providing full operational management of the business. Run the business according to strategies, policies, operational objectives and guidelines decided on by the board. Must have experience in the hydraulics / pneumatics sector

Administrative and managerial skills
Excellent communication skills
Experience leading and managing the company’s strategic objectives and goals
Ability to handle all departments effectively and efficiently
Coordinate the financial or budget activities to fund operations, maximize investments and increase efficiency
Confer with board members, the management team and staff members to discuss issues, coordinate activities, or resolve problems
Analyse operations to evaluate performance of the company and its staff in meeting objectives.
Direct, plan, or implement policies, objectives, or activities of the business to ensure continuing operations, to maximize return on business to ensure continuing operations, to maximize return on investments and to increase productivity
Prepare budgets for approval, including those for funding or implementation of programs / projects
Direct or coordinate activities of business or departments concerned with production, pricing, sales, or distribution of products
Negotiate or approve contracts or agreements with suppliers, distributors or other entities
Appoint department heads or managers and assign or delegate responsibilities to them

Direct human resources activities
Degree or higher diploma (preferably in engineering)
Qualification in business management and administration would be advantageous
At least 5 years’ experience in senior management managing the different functions within a business unit
