HOUSEHOLD SUPERVISOR
Minimum Requirements:
β’ Grade 10 plus a minimum of 3 yearsβ experience in a supervisory level in hospitality industry
β’ An appropriate qualification in food service or hospitality industry/restaurant/hotel management would be advantageous
β’ Basic Computer Literacy skills
β’ Assertive with leadership abilities
β’ Administrative skills and ability to work with students and staff
β’ Available to work flexible hours
β’ Fluency in spoken English plus Afrikaans or Xhosa
β’ Valid driverβs license would be advantageous
β’ Relevant exposure and experience in the hospitality industry would be advantageous
Key Performance Areas:
β’ Responsible for all housekeeping activities of the residence
β’ Managing room allocations to students; planning and
managing staff routines and shifts
β’ Safekeeping of food and planning of monthly menus
β’ Capturing information on computer
β’ Follow up on financial queries
β’ Ensure the safekeeping of utensils
β’ Assist and oversee cooking and serving of meals, stocktaking,
checking and packing of incoming stock
β’ Respond to student needs and requests
β’ Managing both staff and students
β’ Adherence to college Policies and Procedures
