With national offices, production plants and distribution centers, our client is looking for a dynamic Head of IT to develop the overall company IT strategy, oversee, evaluate and assist with all technology operations and projects to streamline the business operations in an ERP driven environment

Minimum Requirements:
Relevant Degree
10 – 12 years related experience in a management role
Strategic planning and organizational skills
Proven leadership abilities
Project management and change management skills
Excellent problem solving and decision-making abilities

Business acumen and interpersonal skills

Duties & Responsibilities:
Strategic
Drive the company’s digital transformation through the development of a technology road map
Create and implement IT policies, protocols, procedures, and standards
Develop and implement IT/Technical departmental goals and strategies and ensure that they provide appropriate support for the company’s growth objectives
Develop project plans specifying goals, strategy, staffing, scheduling, identification of risks, contingency plans and allocation of resources
Provide guidance to ensure appropriate information security processes, controls, compliance, and information security risk management to minimize the risks that could threaten the key information of the Company

Commercial
Development and maintenance of the overall IT department budget. This includes communicating costs, value and risk-potential of new IT projects
Oversee contract negotiations with IT vendors, contractors, and service providers

Operational
Ensure that all activities relating to the operation of data, communication and processing equipment and services including the server infrastructure and peripheral equipment are effectively managed and in line with company goals
Collaborate with and advise subordinates on administrative policies and procedures, project reporting, technical problems resolution metrics, priorities, and methods. This includes ensuring that server down-time is kept to a minimum for uninterrupted business operations and that required back-up frequency is tracked and reported to reduce the risk of cyber-attacks
Develop a Disaster Recovery plan with regular testing in addition to business continuity plans for each site
Planning, directing, assisting, and coordinating the activities of technology projects to ensure that goals are accomplished
Formulate technical scope and objectives of projects
Review and communicate status reports prepared by project personnel to keep management and IT Committee abreast of project status and related issues
Ensure capacity within the IT team to support the business with all IT related technical issues to ensure prompt problem resolution
