A wonderful opportunity has become available for a Quality Assurance and Food Safety Manager at Henties Juice.
Responsibilities
Quality
Implement and maintain quality systems and processes to ensure that standards are met (raw, finished and contract products)
Conduct swabs on all surfaces linked to products
Maintain safety standards/procedures from raw to finished (end user) to ensure defects are detected and prevented
Verify quality guarantees from suppliers
Lead and develop staff to a high level of competency and performance. Drive, champion and promote quality practices and behaviours across the site
Training of all staff on quality requirements and company procedures.
Ensure quality of ingredients
Pest control
Monitor cleaning chemicals and equipment
Prepare for audits
Monitor air pollution
Monitor water filtration and quality
Manage traceability process
Implement production cleaning schedule
Health and Safety
Implement and adhere to safety procedures
Health and safety reports and audit
Clothing and equipment (PPE)
Safety training
Verification of safety products/equipment
Electrical and fire training
Responsible for the following checks: evacuation, air pressure and nitrogen and mechanical safety
Incident reporting, IOD administration and corrective action
Customer Complaints
Respond to e-mail/telephone complaints
Follow up on complaints and ensure that corrective action is taken
Establish and adhere to complaints procedure
Record keeping of complaints for audit purposes
Research

Keep up with latest label legislation (national and international)

Requirements:
Proficient in English and Afrikaans
Qualification in food technology
At least 3 yearsβ experience in food safety environment
Previous experience with food safety audits will be advantageous
