The Aurum Institute is offering a great opportunity to suitably qualified and experienced staff to contribute towards our mission to improve the health of people and communities through innovation in Global Health Research and Systems. We are focused on research, support and implementing integrated approaches to managing TB and HIV.
The following positions have become available as part of the Public Health Division projects and you are welcome to apply should you meet the requirements of the position.

Outreach Services
Promotion of VMMC uptake in the identified communities and facilities
Conducting field mobilisation Follow up of participants recruited by making and/confirming appoints
Plan the weekly schedules under the supervision of the Project Manager
Document activities, service plans and results in an effective manner whilst strictly adhering to policies and procedures in place
Work collaboratively and effectively in a team
Distribution of VMMC Information, Education and Communication (IEC) materials
Set up and complete follow up appointments with the community members where applicable
Work towards the programme objectives as directed by the Project Manager
Escalate any issues of concern to the Project Manager
Perform other lawful and reasonable duties as assigned by management
General Administration
Assisting with arranging transport for participants
Maintain proper records of all the program work on a daily basis
Maintain proper recordkeeping of stock received and distributed
Correct all the data queries timeously
Support project staff in complying to the correct collection procedures
Complete daily timesheets and keep record of work done
Liaise with External and Internal Customers
Liaise with all Internal Customers and External Customers and Suppliers when necessary towards the achievement of organizational and departmental goals
Fleet Management
Drive the project teams to the designated areas and within communities
Ensure proper maintenance, safe keeping and usage of the project vehicle
Ensure adequate documentation for the usage of the project vehicle
Other
Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures according to prescribed procedures and legislation
Report all unsafe activities to Senior Management/Human Resources
Adhere and maintain Decision making authority as allocated to the position
Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve project and organisational goals
Requirements
Qualifications/Professional Membership:
High School Diploma/Grade 12/NQF Level 4
Advantage: Certificate in TB/HIV Counselling
Work Experience/Training:
Minimum of 1 year related experience in working with TB/HIV/MMC programmes
Electronic data capturing will be an advantage
Other Requirements:
Must be a resident of the area or demonstrate intimate knowledge of the area
Ability to navigate through the local community
Basic personal computer skills, including electronic mail, word processing, spreadsheets, etc.
A valid unendorsed driversβ licence and a Professional Driving Permit (PrDP)
