We are looking for a Chef for a Boutique Hotel with restaurant.

The Boutique hotel wishes to operate a kitchen that serves high quality local fare. The facility and spaces are always to be marketed as exclusive. It is about serving quality at an appropriate premium.

It is the best equipped kitchen in the overberg. It has an espresso machine fully stocked bar and a wine library that represents wines of the valley and beyond.

The main restaurant seats 36 people. We are registered to serve non resident guests, although this would have to be strictly controlled to always respect the guests staying on the property, their privacy and space. Resident guests would take preference, and outside guests would have to be limited.

There is also an area around the pool exclusively for guests that could generate income, but generally guests are not on the property between 10 am and 3pm. It would thus be possible to serve lunch to outside guests during this time.

Upstairs is a viewing deck where al fresco meals can be served or where small functions could be catered for. It would be easy to serve 20-40 people there.
Great for lunches or small private gatherings.

Here is an amazing opportunity for the correct chef to express themselves. We are open to suggestion about operational arrangements and incentivisation.

Requirements: Proven work experience as a Chef or Cook
Hands-on experience with various kitchen equipment
Advanced knowledge of culinary, baking and pastry techniques
Ability to remain calm and undertake various
Excellent time management abilities
Up-to-date knowledge of cooking techniques and recipe
Familiarity with sanitation regulations
Culinary school diploma preferred
