About the Position

Our client, a globally rated Asset Manager, is looking for a Client Operations: Reporting and Data Analyst to join their dynamic global team. This team is responsible for all client reporting and data globally and the individual will be based in Cape Town, however, they will report directly into London.

The successful individual will be required to travel to London from time to time for training and for business purposes. This is an opportunity to broaden your skill set within a global environment!

Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

The role of the Client Operations: Reporting & Data Analyst is to work closely with various stakeholders with regards to internal business projects, new client reporting requests and regulatory reporting as well as supporting the onboarding and termination of clients.

The individual will work closely with the strategic client relationship team in the servicing of prospect clients during the onboarding period, as well as providing administrative support.

Additionally, the Analyst will support the Global Client Operations teams with reporting automation for existing clients and analysing new regulatory requests whilst supporting the wider Reporting & Data team.

Ensure the client transition processes (onboarding, termination and switches) are managed effectively for all client types (advisory and institutional) globally
Review of Reporting schedules within IMA's, RFP's and other legal documents ensuring appropriate confidentiality is maintained, necessary approvals are in place, deadlines and reporting can be met
Maintenance of the CRM system and ensure that it is updated timely and accurately as per client records
Effective liaison with our back-office administrator on Change Management Requests
Have an in-depth knowledge of client reporting and understanding the purpose and functionality of various reports, including differences in format, regional differences, regulatory requirements and static data content, to effectively analyse reporting requests and respond with the appropriate business policy
Progress and contribute to efficiency projects to facilitate automation in operational processes, with the aim of servicing internal clients and meeting team objectives in a more stream- lined and operationally efficient manner
Analyse and contribute to discussion surrounding new regulatory reporting and legislation
Proactively maintain daily, effective communication with team colleagues globally in other offices, such as London
Excellent internal client servicing by responding promptly and appropriately to queries
Maintain a consistently professional and value-add approach
Assisting with the production of Factsheets, KIIDS, QIR and data requests within the wider Reporting & Data team
Use initiative to continually develop systems and procedures with a view to risk reduction, identify efficiencies in process, improve efficiency and accommodate change to strategies, client demands, or in response to industry change
Skills/Qualifications Required:

B.Com/B.Bus Sci or other similar degree/qualification
Investment performance and attribution skills would be an advantage
Financial market knowledge (instruments and products)
MS Excel (advanced)
Strongly numerate
Data anlytical skills
Client focus with very good interpersonal skills
Must be able to operate independently yet be part of a team
Experience Required:

Minimum of 2 - 3 years work experience post tertiary education
Previous experience in asset management would be ideal. Would consider an individual from a back office envirionment such as Maitland etc.

Industry knowledge and the use of systems such as Thinkfolio would be an advantage
