A tourism company seeks a young and dynamic waitress to join our very busy F&B department.
Waitress services
Clean agreed designated areas, in accordance with laid-down procedures, morning/evening routines and hygiene requirements
Change table linen as required and ensure dirty or damaged linen is counted and exchanged for clean, useable items
Clean, refill cruet and condiment sets, order branded sauces and chutneys to ensure consistent supply
Ensure that flowers and table decorations are fresh and comply with agreed standards
Set tables to laid-down standards, ensuring that all items used are clean, undamaged and in a good state of repair

Ensure sideboards on stations are adequately stocked with replacement cutlery, linen or other established needsPrepare salads, sandwiches, cheese boards and coffee to laid-down standards, then this is an agreed duty of establishment
Take orders from customers and ensure these are given to the appropriate person to execute
Be totally familiar with the composition of all menu items
Serve food and beverages in accordance with laid-down standards, but above all in a professional and courteous manner
Clean tables and ensure they are cleaned as soon as it is apparent that customers have finished their food or drink with an acceptable balance between speed, yet allowing customers to finish their meal without feeling rushed
Ensure that customers are correctly charged. Present the bill and take payment from the customer, in accordance with the procedures of the establishment
At all times, be aware of and practise good customer relations, assisting the guest in anyway which does not adversely affect other customers
Attend to customer complaints satisfactorily
Report any suspicious packages or parcels to management without delay

Assist in anyway with the efficient running of the operation
Perform any other operation related duties as directed by management
Available to work overtime at the request of the manager
Review staff notice board on a daily basis
Attend pre-shift and weekly restaurant meetings
Take part in any fire or evacuation drills and ensure complete familiarisation with all exits, including those normally used by customers, as well as fire escapes
Carry out on-the-job training to ensure subordinate staff can carry out their duties effectively
Standard Requirements
Report on duty at the stipulated time and outlet as per timetable, ensuring you are dressed in full uniform
Carry out all duties assigned by the Food and Beverage Manager, Assistant Food and Beverage Manager and Floor Manager
Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in the Restaurant, including tables, chairs, floors and equipment
Have thorough knowledge of all facilities and services offered by the Reserve
Ensure that guest receives satisfactory service and attention at all times
Keep the waiters station thoroughly clean before / through and after the service
Maintain high standards of appearance and social skills
Work in harmony with all staff and any other departments related to the operation
Attend training as and when required
Be familiar with the staff handbook, house rules, fire and security procedures
Matric
Valid ID and permit/visa
Experience in hospitality
Experience in working in a game lodge environment
This is a live in position and preferably a young, single person who is willing to relocate to the Klein Karoo.
