Traffic Production Manager

We are a thriving Large Formal Digital print company based in Montague Gardens, Cape Town. We have a printing and design team and we are seeking the services of a traffic/production manager. This person will look after traffic and production in our very busy printing and manufacturing company

Primary objectives:

The traffic assistant is generally responsible for the achievement of the submitting of a job successfully into production and meeting the goals as set by the company
To provide the critical link between the client services and inputting the job into the production department
The traffic assistant is responsible for ensuring that all communication relating to jobs in progress is channeled clearly and timeously
To ensure that an accurate and concise brief is received from the sales team
To ensure that the supplied material conforms to the specs quoted and is to highlighted and voice any concerns regarding problematic areas
All non-conformances to be actions as per the prescribed method in place
To ensure accurate delivery dates are obtained from the sales team.
To obtain approved accurate production schedules from planning and communicate these to the rest of the departments
To ensure that all requirements are met when processing and finalizing a job ticket.
Ensuring that all internal documents are filled in correctly.

To ensure the work leaving is of the highest standards and that all time frames and deadlines are strictly adhered to and met
To notify sales/clients if desired delivery dates differs from expected delivery dates
To check all completed work tickets and ensure that the job instructions comply with the clients requirements
Liaising and sourcing of new products with existing and new suppliers
Overseeing stock levels
Ordering of stock
To communicate with sales person if material does not conform to standard or the companies requirements
Ensure that all jobs are checked by team prior to final dispatching to clients
Ensure all job tickets are updated when necessary
Have a daily status meeting with production and sales team.
Ensure customer satisfaction at all times
Notify production team of any specific client requirements.
To ensure that designers and production are aware of the need for tight time lines, etc.
Ensure delivery instruction are received timeously and handed over to production/operations/dispatch.
Discuss with production any complex distributions prior to final dispatching
Ensure that all relevant info is captured on the system
Provide support for client services whenever a customer requires information or help
Keeps sales team informed of all happenings between company and customers
Daily status reports
Strong interpersonal skills
Recommend improvements in company policy and procedure to ensure the customer is satisfied at all times
Return artwork/disks/samples, etc. to customer after a job
Able to work in a pressurized environment
Ensuring the department of traffic runs smoothly
Self-motivated
Polite and courteous
Strong attention to detail
Excellent telephone manner
Good organisations skills, ability to multi task
Computer literacy
Problem solving skills
Requirements

The traffic/production must at all times to assure the highest level of professionalism and personal performance possible.

The traffic manager is responsible for performing all traffic control related activities according to the internal policies and procedures of the company

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: R10,000.00 to R15,000.00 /month

Experience:

Production Planning: 5 years (Preferred)
