Position Purpose:

The person is responsible for the day-to-day operations (or management) of the store.

Key Accountabilities:

Sales generation*: *
Monthly / Quarterly/ Annual sales goals are to be achieved and also increase the sales by 10%
This involves setting individual sales goals, holding contests for employees, or offering sales promotions
Store Manager should Motivate his/her team to achieve the target set for the store by different activities
Store manager should set an example for his/her subordinates to follow

Stock Management:

Stock review - To have regular reviews of stock
Shrinkage not to exceed the defined % of the landed cost
Maintenance of optimum relevant stock level
Define Minimum level and maximum level
Initiate markdown on a fortnightly basis
Ageing analysis and clearance of non-moving stock
Set up procedures to prevent theft. Staff with financial responsibilities shouldn’t be in charge of stock records
Regularly change staff controlling stock to avoid collusion or bad practice
Safety & Security:
He/ She is the store's primary key-holder and may be called to the store before, during, or after business hours in the event of an emergency
They are also responsible for the safety of all customers and employees in store premises
Store managers may be required to hold safety meetings

Division of responsibility: *
He/ She has over-all responsibility for all day to day activity of the store**
Managing & controlling staff, and planning promotions and events**
Lead sub-ordinates-Assistant Store Managers, Supervisors, Sales Associates, Visual Merchandisers etc.,**
Will be required to deal with and try to solve any and all problems that may occur at any given time*
Staff Management: **
Must ensure staffing levels are adequate to effectively operate the store, and ensure employees receive training necessary for their job responsibilities
Responsible for developing employees so the company can promote employees from within and develop future leaders, potentially for employment at other locations
Set up a clear policy and make sure staff are trained in dealing with thieves
Reduce Absenteeism & Attrition by creating amicable environment

Responsibilities:

Develops strategies and plans to improve customer service, drive store sales, and increase profitability
Store business operations, including managing profit and loss, facility management, safety and security
Product management, including ordering, receiving, price changes, handling damaged products, and returns
Team Development, facilitating staff learning and development
Human Resources, specifically: Performance management, and schedule workplace scheduling
Problem solving, handling unusual circumstances and Strong Margin Management
Figures should be checked systematically, either through a regular audit of stock –stocktaking or an on-going program of checking stock - rolling inventory**
Touring the sales floor regularly, talking to sub-ordinates & customers, identifying or resolving urgent issues
Overall Store operating costs have to be kept under control including Asset maintenance

Additional Responsibilities:

Stock Control Administration-Typical paperwork to be processed includes:

Delivery and supplier notes for incoming goods
Purchase orders, receipts and credit notes
Returns notes
Requisitions and issue notes for outgoing merchandise in case of an IBTTimely check is to be done for the upkeep of the store’s electronic devices (Feet in counting machine, Bio Metric devices, CCTV camera, Server etc..,)

Attributes and Competencies:

Bio Metric devices in the store are to be well maintained and must ensure everyone follows the attendance login procedure strictly.
Retail savvy, Passion for driving sales, Leading from the front and a great communicator
Relishes the detail, Team builder & Customer centric
A great Leader, Strategic thinker & result oriented
Job Type: Permanent

Experience:

Retail Management: 3 years (Preferred)
