Job Purpose
To assist with the recording of Stock in-take and Dispatch as well as any Stock Movements within the Runway Park Facility of BPL, this includes assisting with stock management and maintenance.

Qualifications & Experience
Secondary Education: Matric
Tertiary Education: Tertiary qualification in Logistics Management
Years of experience required: 3 years
Specific experience required: Minimum Grade 12 ( Standard 10 ) / WMS
Must be able to read and write English
Experience within a cargo handling environment.
Exposure to operational administration procedures
Knowledge of computers / use of scanners
Maintaining and upholding health and safety
Level of computer literacy: High Level

Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Activities:
Plan and execute all stock counts
Conduct daily cycle counts and forward reports to the management team
Create, maintain and control bins for all products
Maintain stock age analysis
Execute stock reports, stock balances per product and movement summary for management reports
Control internal transactions on WMS
Work with storeman operators to conduct bay maintenance on all products weekly and provide feedback
Compile stats for stock ageing, damages and co ordinate customer returns
Work with planning team for optimum space allocation
Report any discrepancies and theft to the Facility Manager
Co ordinate resources for stock takes
Ensure that all scheduled daily tasks are completed prior to leaving

General Operational Duties :
Report any abnormalities /defects in the warehouse
Ensure that goods are correctly and safely stored
Report all damages, negligence and theft immediately to the Supervisors.
Comply with safety regulations when operating handling equipment during the transport of cargo
Use of scanners as effectively and efficiently as possible without damaging the scanner
Complete a scanner checklist at all times
Participate actively in the SHERQ programs that is implemented in the facility
Perform other functions or tasks outside the job description that is deemed reasonable by you and the Supervisor
Ensure that all scheduled tasks for the day is completed, prior to leaving

General:
Ensure a clear understanding of the companies SOP's as well as policies
Report any non conformances to Supervisor
Ensure that near misses are completed and escalated to management
Involvement and participation in BPL WAREHOUSING EC as well as the compliance to OSH Act
In care of clients cargo as well as company assets at all times
Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times
Correct PPE to be worn at all times
