Our client within the services industry is currently seeking to employ a qualified and experienced Site Agent in their Tailings division based in Rustenburg. The primary role of the incumbent is to effectively manage civil construction contracts by ensuring that all work is completed on time and on budget to the satisfaction of the client.
Minimum Requirements
Diploma in Civil Engineering
3-5 yearsβ experience civil construction
Tailings knowledge and experience essential
Analytical and Conceptual thinking skills essential
Strong Leadership skills required

Key Responsibilities
Programming and resourcing of activities to ensure that the contract is completed on time
Ensure conformance to company policies and procedures in respect to Occupational Health and Safety
The health and safety of all employees for whom they have an operational responsibility
Strict observance and implementation of the Quality Policy ensuring that established rules and safe or environmentally sound working practices are adhered to
Ensuring that all employees are properly trained and receive the support they need to perform their duties
Ensure a collaborative approach in all areas with the other construction and commissioning sub functions
Ensure leadership and motivation by establishing an open and broad communication of the principles, objectives, targets and processes including feedback communication
Managing cost centre results to ensure budgets are achieved
Managing utilization to ensure all employees within the department are adequately assigned
Manage the Site Execution within the area of responsibility to ensure it is being professionally executed
Providing experience feedback and improvement cycles and defining of targets
Identifying and delegating the resources needed (employees, skills and contractors)
Budget forecast for site activities, monitoring of site expenses, updating and reporting on this budget
Support & feedback to tendering for execution issues (schedule, site organization, site costs)
Support & feedback to Sub-contracting for all projects (technical discussion with sub-contractors, strategy)
Monthly valuation, site variation orders, design change costs and accountability of final accounts for work completed
Management and programming of labour as required for works completed
Management and programming of labour as required for works
Procurement of materials as required from tender stage to build stage
Coordination and logistics of materials as required from merchants and stores to site as required
