SALES CONSULTANT - OFFICE FURNITURE
Package: Market related (med aid, prov fund, cell, petrol card)
My client, a national organisation, seeks a sales consultant with office furniture experience. You will be reporting to the branch manager.
Responsibilities:
Sales
Ensures that Furniture sales meet or exceed budgeted volume, value, growth and margin by
Monitoring results daily, tracking trends and taking corrective action
Solving customer issues and complaints โ Quality, delivery, pricing

Arranging and scheduling sales visitsCalling on customers and prospects, assessing and advising on needs, confirming orders and closing sales
Completing administrative requirements which enable Head Office staff to confirm sales, arrange credit terms and make deliveries
Following up to ensure the order fulfilment process is carried out effectively and to be aware of problems before they impact customers
Keeping abreast of competitor products โ availability, prices, quality
Compiling and submitting reports as required
Customer Relations
Maintains / enhances relationships with key customers
Customer Base
Builds customer base among corporates and SOHOs, Government departments and mines
Product Knowledge
Keeps abreast of Furniture developments, both within the company as well as the external market
Market Intelligence
Keeps abreast of competitor activity, trends in the industry, customer changes
Supplier Relations
Maintains / enhances supplier relations
Requirements:
Tertiary qualification will be an advantage
3 to 5 years prior external sales experience in furniture sales is a deal breaker
