RS Recruitment Services is assisting a well-established, successful FMCG Wholesaler, to recruit a SALES ASSISTANT, to be based in SPRINGFIELD, DURBAN.

Applicants should have/be able to do the following:

Intermediate / Advanced computer skill in: MS Excel, Word & Outlook.

3 to 5 years sales experience

Attention to detail and accuracy in your work

Ability to work under time pressures

Ability to work unsupervised and on your own initiative, honesty and reliability

Discretion and an understanding of confidentiality issues

Adaptability and flexibility

Professional demeanour, able to communicate politely and effectively with customers

Will suit someone with a more mature outlook

Excellent People Skills and good telephone manner

Valid un-indorsed drivers’ licence – an advantage

Experience with fresh flowers/horticulture will be an advantage

Good communication skills in English – written and verbal

Must be able to work and function in a temperature-controlled environment

Basic duties include:

Answering telephone

Taking orders telephonically and distributing the orders to the staff

Invoicing using in-house system

Filing

Compiling information on spreadsheets

May need to work overtime when the need arises – usually specific occasions

Working hours:

Monday to Friday – 7am to 4pm (Fridays 3pm)

Every 2nd Saturday – 7am to 11am

Remuneration:

R6 500ctc. – Depending on experience. 3 month probation period will apply.
