We are looking for a socially focused team player who can operate proficiently in a technical and administrative environment who can work at a consistent pace in a predictable situation with a high attention to detail, to ensure that the highest standard of performance and service is achieved when reserving accommodation and additional services for the Hotel.


Minimum Experience or Qualification:

Grade 12 certificate; Diploma in Hotel Management would be advantageous

Must have at least 1 years hote in a reservations position or 2 years experience in a reception position at a 4 or 5 star Hotel.

Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Outlook, Word and Excel

Experience at operator level of Property Management System – exposure to Opera advantageous

Experience at operator level of a Property Management System – exposure to Opera advantageous

Outstanding Telephone Manner

Excellent command of the English language

Solid English verbal and written communication skills

Able to workΓ‚ occasional weekends and holidays


Key Performance Objectives:

To ensure that guests receive an exceptional guest experience that goes beyond their expectations.

To ensure harmonious relationships exist with other departments, suppliers and international sales managers by maintaining clear and prompt communication between all parties; and ensuring that all correspondence with clients reflects the professionalism of the company standard and enhances the relationships with key suppliers.

To ensure that reservations are made and updated accurately, efficiently and comprehensively,

To ensure that all reservations related administration and reporting is completed timeously ensuring accuracy and precision in accordance with SOP


Remuneration:

R12,700 per month, and opportunity to earn commission

Benefits include pension (7.5% company contribution + 7.5% employee contribution); optional Discovery Medical Aid (company pays 50% of premium); Discretionary Annual Bonus; Complimentary Staff Transport, Uniform, Laundry, Meal
