The team of doctors is looking for a well-organized, dynamic individual who will be required to provide a clinical service to patients. This position requires a person with excellent multitasking skills and who gives attention to detail, with a sound clinical background.

Duties & Responsibilities
Duties will include (but not be limited to) the following:-

Basic reception duties (Answering of phones, appointment bookings, theatre bookings etc.)
Managing patient enquiries and queries
Co-coordinating, booking and typing of theatre lists, call lists and co-ordination of assistants and anaethetists
Recording of medical procedure coding for medical aid submission
Typing of reports, letters of motivations and other medical documents
Completion of medical documents: PPS insurance forms, Medical claim forms, PMA forms, chronic medication forms
Assisting with wound care of patients
Assisting with gastroscopies and Manometry
Mixing of Angised cream for hemorrhoid patients

Stock control of medical devices and appliances
Ensuring compliance with the clinical code of conduct to ensure the accurate interpretation of a patient event.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Matriculation Certificate
Registered Nurse, registered with the South African Nursing Council
A relevant nursing qualification (Diploma in Nursing/ B Cur Degree)
Own transport
Medical industry / surgical experience of 2+ years an advantage
Diploma in Nursing Administration would be an advantage
Strong service delivery orientation
Intermediate in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Vericlaim experience would be an advantage
Excellent communication skills
Excellent administrative skills with attention to detail
Work well under pressure
Competent in the demonstration and assessment of some clinical procedures and management of risks
Understanding of the private healthcare industry, its challenges and role players would be an advantage including an understanding of relevant and current legislation as well as the knowledge or ability to learn medical terminology, CPT/ICD coding, technical and clinical concepts and patient services business processes
Understanding of basic financial principles
Computer proficiency and strong administration skills
Clinical skills with the ability to manage the nursing plan
