Smada Security is looking for one candidate to fulfil the role of both a Regional Operations Manager and a Control Room Manager. They will be required to assist the Regional Executive with the management of day to day security operations within the Eastern Cape region. The role will entail customer service & satisfaction, ensuring the effective operation of the Control Room, and employee management

Office Location – Newton Park, Port Elizabeth

Main Responsibilities/Tasks :

Engaging with clients to ensure service delivery requirements are being met
Resolving client complaints
Monitoring of site coverage per shift, identifying ongoing site shortages & resolution thereof
Monitoring of non-productive hours & overtime costs, and ensuring Sector Managers resolve issues timeously
Ensuring staff are complying with company policies & procedures, and implementing disciplinary procedures if necessary
Preparation & submission of weekly/monthly reports to clients & management
Assisting with the management & maintenance of assets, such as Fleet vehicles
Assisting with the daily management of firearms, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements

Regular site visits & audits
Assisting with new site roll outs, and existing site terminations
Marketing & Promotion of Smada services within the region, including attendance at tender briefings
Conducting site surveys and needs analysis
Supervision of Sector Managers, and Tactical Teams
Supervision of the Regional Control Room staff
Training of new Controllers
Ensuring Controllers adhere to company policies & procedures
Ensuring the Regional Control Room complies with legislative & company requirements
Day to day running of control room
Managing of staff reporting to him /her
Minimum Requirements :

Matric
PSIRA Registration – Grade A or B
Firearm Competency
Clear criminal record
Own Transport & valid driver’s license
At least 5 years’ experience in the Private Security Industry, at a supervisory/management level & including control room supervision
Computer Literacy
Behavioural Competencies :

Ability to work under pressure and multi-task

Good organisational skills
Initiative and problem solving skills
Management skills
Salary package: R300,000 per annum (R25,000 per month)
