General
The appointment will be made in line with the Absa Employment Equity strategy.
Preference will be given to South African Citizens and Permanent residents of South Africa with proof of permanent resident status.
Minimum requirements
Must have NQF level 6 or higher qualification recognised by the FSB for FAIS purposes.

Five (5) years working experience in the Financial Services IndustryThree (3) years experience in a sales environment in the Financial Services Industry
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and the Internet
No criminal record
Preferred requirements
Post graduate qualification in Finance, Banking or Commerce
Qualified Certified Financial Planner
Two (2) years experience in selling financial solutions,
Work experience in driving and meeting sales targets
Purpose
The purpose of the role is to proactively develop, maintain and expand an enhanced banking relationship with identified affluent clients through offering holistic professional, reliable and appropriate financial solutions to achieve financial targets
Key responsibilities
Sales
Contact the portfolio of assigned customers to discuss their financial needs and appropriate solutions
Sell the appropriate products to the customers within Financial Advisory and Intermediate Services (FAIS) Act, Financial Information Centre Act (FICA) and National Credit Act (NCA) requirements
Complete detailed assessments of client needs for banking products and other financial products, including insurance
Create lead referrals and call on specialists to support
Interview clients who request new products and assist them to complete the required documentation
Complete motivations for credit approval and follow up the process to ensure the product is loaded within the requiredturnaroundtime
Negotiate rates with product owners
Customer retention
Educate customers to use alternative channels
Research sales potential in the local area
Participate in local business and community forums
Analyse sales achieved against targets agreed and plan actions to meet shortfalls
Service
Action all instructions, queries and complaints from affluent customers and respond directly to customers
Ensure correct escalation of unresolved complaints
Ensure all compliments and complaints are captured according to the customer complaints process
Compliance
Ensure transparency between credit department and the client when communicating client information to credit and when giving feedback to clients
Follow up on clients with outstanding FICA documentation
Ensure all transactions are processed within mandates
Process customer requests for audit certificates, bank codes and account confirmation letters
Administer completion and release of security documentation
Score credit applications using the scoring system and escalate items that do not pass system scoring with motivation to credit department for review
Ensure all FAIS, FICA and NCA requirements are met.
Team
Act as back-up for other team members during absence or peak hours
Coach internal stakeholders on the sales process and lead identification
