Duties & Responsibilities
Perform any reasonable request allocated by the building Supervisor or the Departmental Manager
Must be able to perform after hour breakdowns and call outs when required
Complete time sheets to maintenance supervisor on a weekly basis
Assist in keeping workshop tidy and presentable
Continually prioritize jobs appropriately
Ensure that all work is planned risk are identified, the work is completed both to prescribed standards and within the agreed time
Ensure that scheduled maintenance activities are performed correctly
Continually evaluate and improve maintenance activities for all plumbing PPMS on site
Identify critical spares for all plumbing equipment on site, liaise with your Supervisor to have these available (either on site or a local vendor)
Ensure that best operating practice is applied when undertaking maintenance tasks/repairs
Ensure that positive communication is maintained with clients, staff and service providers
Adhere to client policies and procedures
Perform risk assessments

Maintain and action all PPM Schedules
Ensure compliance with terms of clients SLA
Coordinate day to day operations on site
Quality control of all plumbing maintenance activities
Place orders for sub contract work and maintenance consumables
Manage safe work practice in conjunction with the OHS Act
Problem solving and analytical skills

Skills and Competencies
Good knowledge of plumbing methods, repairs, materials, tools and equipment used
Knowledge of safety hazards and safety precautions required
Understand and follow oral and written instructions
Ability to plan, organize and control own work effort
Ability to deliver high quality and proactive service to internal and external customers
Commitment and self motivation
Reliable
Ability to use own initiative and to operate with no management support when required
Ability to work under pressure
Ability to work after hours if required (Sandton)

Qualifications
Matric
Trade tested plumber
3-5 years minimum experience post trade test
