Tutors Needed!!! (Teach English Online) – Day Shift & Night Shift available!

Salary: R40 – R58 per hour (On Target Earnings)

Seeking English Tutors to teach English to students from various countries, via an online forum. Most of the students live and work in Asia, they tend to be graduates and/or working professionals; they have had some exposure to the English language and will be looking to brush up on their conversational capabilities.

This is a full time / part time position, which requires commitment and dedication; based at our language centre in the CBD, Cape Town.

Requirements:

Energetic and professional personality
Matric (Grade 12) a must
A completed 3-year qualification (BA/BCom/National Diploma) a must
Clear, neutral accent

Willing and able to work shifts
Monday – Sunday
To include three (3) weekends a month (5 days/nights on, 1/2 day/nights off) – part time and full time available
Day shift i.e. 08h30 – 17h15 (flexible to change) or Night Shift i.e. 23h30 – 09h15 (no transport provided)
Computer Literate (essential)
Previous TEFL/TESOL teaching experience, preferably with adults (advantageous)
This position is limited to SA Citizens
Duties and Responsibilities:

Able to lead the group in an informal but structured way
Able to work both independently and collaboratively
Able to motivate students and encourage participation
Prepare/adapt appropriate teaching materials
Personal Qualities:

Patient, confident, enthusiastic, empathetic
Solid work ethic – hard working with a willingness to learn
Able to work as part of a team
Able to motivate students with little confidence
