Introduction
Our client is in the medical industry based in Johannesburg and they are looking to hire a Medical Scientific Liaison (MSL) Manager to join their company.

Duties & Responsibilities
Coaching, training and managing of MSL development and performance to ensure excellent execution of their role and of strategic goals.
Develop/ Execute strategic and tactical medical engagement plans.
Support local and corporate business objectives by active teamwork and interaction with internal colleagues and external contacts with specific focus on oncology.
Assist in protocol development, site selection, recruitment strategies, clinical operations collaboration, and communication with the Brand team and the therapeutic area medical head.
Improve management of disease by liaising with HCPs to help optimise therapies.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Matric.
MBChB.
Post-graduate degree in pharmacy or biosciences.
Prior MSL experience is mandatory.

Management experience preferable.
Broad knowledge of different therapeutic areas and pharmacology preferable.
Prior experience in a clinical or medical affairs department in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry is preferable.
Knowledge of medicine (including pharmacotherapy), treatment guidelines, clinical research processes, customer strategies, regulations, and ethical guidelines applied to the pharmaceutical industry, solid understanding of GCP an industry code of practice.
MS Office and associated hardware working knowledge.
