Specification
Job Purpose is to coordinate all live crossings for the various programmes as well as the flow of feeds between regions. To manage the workflow of video editors and ensure all material is available on dalet.

1.LINE FEEDS
•Routing correct feed (SNG/ LiveU/ FSN / weather studio etc) to the correct matrix in the correct studio.
•Ensuring that all feeds are being recorded in media room.
•Sending of feeds to the regions or clients via line feeds or ftp.
•Allocating a satellite frequency to either an SNG or regional studio for live crossings.
•Downloading material from YouYube / Bloomberg / Reuters/ Wetransfer to ensure the content is available for broadcast.
•Download from elink via firezilla when there are server errors.

2.PLANNING AND ORGANISATION
•Taking direction and plan ahead to meet broadcast requirements
•Troubleshooting problematic feeds and/or technical requirements.
•Identify resource requirements, and ensure correct staffing requirements are in place.
•Plan and co-ordinate SNG’s when required by the Assignments team.
•Coordinate the workflow of daily stories that need to be edited


Key Performance Indicators:
•When all feeds are correctly and timeously routed as per the broadcast requirements.
•When the final video lines are available on dalet meeting all production requirements.
•Sufficient resource and headcount requirements are met on a day-to-day basis.


Requirements
Education: Relevant Broadcast and/or Media Qualification (preferred)Matric
Language: Business English
Experience: Minimum 3 years relevant experience

Specific Professional Competencies:
•Knowledge of technical broadcast specifications i.e, audio levels and video quality
•Understanding of SNG frequencies and LiveU coverage
•Understanding of broadcasting environment, role players,
•An interest in news and current affairs
•Knowledge of Microsoft Office
•Ability to work in a digital environment
•Ability to work in a live and pre-record environment
•Ability to work independently
•Ability to work under pressure making deadlines
•Ability to work with Producer, crew and editorial staff
